The JNE chairman called on all political actors and citizens to await the official results and respect the electoral authorities.

“We call on citizens, political organizations, their leaders, members, and supporters to remain calm and act with democratic responsibility in the coming hours and days,” Burneo stated.

The JNE head firmly rejected any fraud narrative seeking to undermine the legitimacy of the electoral process that has taken place.

“There has been no fraud, and everything has been properly conducted. The incidents that have been reported are being handled appropriately. The official results will be released progressively through the corresponding institutional channels,” Burneo emphasized.

ONPE acted transparently

In turn, the ONPE chief dismissed any claims of “fraud,” stating that the incidents reported had been corrected by replacing the ballots with reserve materials available at polling places.

“We have not committed fraud at any stage of this electoral process. ONPE has always worked in a transparent and reliable manner, consistently keeping its doors open and ensuring transparency in the electoral processes and activities carried out at every stage,” Pachas stated.
