Speaking during a press conference hosted by Minister for Petroleum Jimmy Maladina, and other parliamentary leaders from Gulf and Central Provinces ahead of the Papua LNG Development Forum, Minister for Energy and Member for Kairuku Open Peter Namea Isoaimo, welcomed the landmark amendment to Section 98 of the Organic Law on Provincial Governments and Local-level Governments relating to Benefits from Natural Resources.
