Our fight against corruption was boosted by the Whistle Blowers Act was passed by Parliament in 2020, a year after Prime Minister James Marape took government. We all celebrated and applauded the new government, thinking everything about corruption will be exposed and those who participated will be dealt with.

Six years later we are asking why do we punish whistleblowers but protect those exposed for corruption? This is the big question that is being asked by our people in light of the 2026 PNG Defence Force recruitment saga.
