Who is Kate Middleton’s ex-boyfriend with Princess awkwardly reunites at Peter Phillips wedding?

Kate and Finch were romantically involved for nearly a year in 2001

Princess of Wales Kate Middleton reportedly awkwardly reunited with her ex-boyfriend at Prince William’s cousin Peter Phillips’s wedding to Harriet Sperling in the Cotswolds on Saturday.

According to a report by the GB News, Rupert Finch was spotted among the distinguished guests at All Saints Church, where Kate Middleton, Prince William and other royals were also present.

Kate Middleton and Finch allegedly once dated during their university days.

Who is Rupert Finch?

As per the report by the outlet, Finch, 47 was one of the first guests to arrive with his wife, Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs, at the wedding of Peter.

Kate and Finch were romantically involved for nearly a year in 2001 while both studying at the University of St Andrews.

Finch was the fourth-year student and aspiring lawyer at the time of his alleged romance with Kate.

He, later, completed his legal training at the College of Law in Guildford.

The report further claimed their relationship coincided with Kate’s now-famous 2002 charity fashion show appearance, where she reportedly caught Prince William’s attention wearing a sheer dress.

Despite the passage of time, Kate and her ex appear to have maintained an amicable relationship.

He was among the guests invited to her and Prince William lavish Westminster Abbey wedding on April 29, 2011.

Finch has consistently declined to discuss his past romance with the Princess of Wales.

He tied the knot to Lady Natasha, daughter of the 4th Marquess of Reading, in Cirencester in June 2013.

He and his wife Natasha share three children together including daughters Georgia, Cienna and India Grace Albertine.
