King Charles received a warm welcome as he visited Bermuda for a solo royal trip.

Leaving Queen Camilla in the US, the King marked his first royal visit as sovereign to a British Overseas Territory on Friday.

Buckingham palace dropped a video clip from Charles’ warm welcome via official Instagram handle of the royal family.

A thank you message shared in the caption read: “What a wonderfully warm welcome to Bermuda! Thank you to all who came out to say hello.”

It further read, “In King’s Square, The King was formally welcomed to the island with a military ceremony by the Royal Bermuda Regiment and a 21-gun salute.”

Earlier in the day, the palace announced Charles’ engagements in Bermuda, stating, “Today, The King will undertake a day of engagements in Bermuda, marking His Majesty’s first Royal Visit as Sovereign to a British Overseas Territory.”

This comes after King Charles and Queen Camilla wrapped up their four-day state visit to the US. With a quick stop by the White House, Their Majesties bid farewell to President Donald Trump on Thursday.
