INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –  A soggy start this morning with cooler temperatures and breezy conditions. Rain comes to an end and we will dry out heading into the weekend.

TODAY: Some spots of the state picked up at least a quarter of an inch of rainfall a little bit farther southward. Still a chance for some showers this morning but those rain chances will end later on today. It will be a breezy day with winds gusting 20 to 30 miles per hour during the afternoon. Look for mostly cloudy skies for the first part of the day with some sunshine later this afternoon. High temperatures will climb into the upper ’50s.

TONIGHT: Look for partly cloudy to mostly clear skies overnight and temperatures take a tumble. We will see lows right around 40 degrees.

TOMORROW: No frightening conditions for your Halloween. Sunny skies throughout the entire day on Friday. Winds will ease and high temperatures will climb to 58 degrees. Trick or treaters will see dry conditions. A few clouds with temperatures  into the mid ’50s and then fall into the lower 50s by the evening.

7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: This weekend looks good with a few clouds on Saturday and Sunday. There is a very slim chance we could see a spotty shower but most spots should be dry this weekend. High temperatures a few degrees below normal into the mid-50s on Saturday in the upper 50s on Sunday.

Don’t forget to set your clocks back 1 hour as we head back to standard time. Now is also a good time to check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

We will see temperatures climb back up into the lower 60s next week with partly cloudy skies and sunshine for the middle part of the work week.
