GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The former chairman of Holland’s Tulip Time Festival was sentenced to 180 days in jail for recording upskirt videos of unsuspecting women in Kent County.

In addition to jail, 40-year-old Mark Edwin Dykema was put on probation for three years.

The sentence handed down Wednesday in Kent County Circuit Court mirrors what Dykema received last month in Ottawa County for similar crimes.

He pleaded no contest in both counties to multiple charges, including surveilling an unclothed person and using a computer to commit a crime.

Dykema told investigators it was his pornography addiction that led him to record the upskirt videos in two West Michigan counties, court records show.

In the Kent County cases, he was accused of trying to shoot video under women’s clothes in two locations, including a Wyoming church.

“He said he has been struggling with a pornography addiction for years,” a Kent County sheriff’s detective wrote in a probable cause document last year.

Dykema previously owned several Biggby Coffee shops in Holland and Zeeland. He also at one time served as chairman of Holland’s Tulip Time.
