SPRING LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people were hospitalized, including a motorcyclist, following a Saturday crash in Spring Lake Township.

Around 12:30 p.m., deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the area of M-104 and School Street for a crash involving a motorcycle.

Responding deputies learned that a 2020 Jaguar, driven by a 70-year-old Fremont man, was heading eastbound on M-104. While the vehicle was turning onto School Street, it hit a westbound motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a 56-year-old Grand Haven man, was seriously hurt and taken to the hospital for treatment, the sheriff’s office said. The extent of his injuries was not released.

The passenger in the Jaguar, a 67-year-old Fremont woman, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Fremont man was not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
