MUSCAT : A woman who was swept away by strong wadi currents in Oman’s Wilayat of Khasab, Musandam Governorate, has been found dead, the Search and Rescue Sector said on Tuesday.

In a statement, authorities said the woman was carried away due to intense water flow in the wadis following ongoing weather conditions affecting parts of the Sultanate.

“Search and rescue teams located the missing individual, who was found deceased,” the statement said, confirming that response teams had been deployed immediately after the incident was reported.
