DOHA : Qatar Airways Group has appointed Hamad Ali Al-Khater as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, replacing Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, whose two-year tenure has come to an end, the airline said on Sunday.
Al-Khater joins the carrier from Hamad International Airport, where he served as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing operational safety, infrastructure expansion and improvements to passenger experience. Prior to that, he held senior positions at QatarEnergy, working on business development, strategic execution and large-scale operational initiatives.
Qatar Airways Group Chairman, HE Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, thanked Al-Meer for his service and said the company looks forward to building on the airline’s global network under the new leadership.
“With this transition, Qatar Airways reaffirms its commitment to delivering world-class experiences, reliability and innovation to travellers around the globe,” Al-Kaabi said.
