Oman’s Tax Authority removes Reliance Audit from approved accounting firms list

MUSCAT : In a statement, the Tax Authority urged all taxpayers to take note of the decision and ensure compliance with the updated list of approved accounting firms.

The move follows an administrative decision by the FSA to remove Reliance Audit from the register of firms licensed to practise the accounting and auditing profession after identifying multiple violations of the law regulating the sector.

The Tax Authority said its decision was taken in line with the FSA’s action, resulting in the firm’s removal from the authority’s approved auditors’ list.

The authority advised taxpayers to refer to the latest list of approved accounting firms when engaging auditing and accounting services for tax-related requirements.
