MUSCAT : According to Khalid bin Sulaiman Al Salhi, Director General of Marketing and Commercial Affairs at Madayn, the plan focused on enhancing Madayn’s local and international presence, boosting Omani exports, and attracting quality investments to its industrial cities.
Since assuming leadership of the supervisory team for promoting Omani products (OPEX) earlier this year, Madayn has participated in 10 major events, including six international exhibitions such as Gulfood 2025 in Dubai, the Baghdad International Fair, the Algiers International Fair, the Saudi Food Show in Riyadh, the Iran Expo in Tehran, and the Mobile World Summit in Shanghai.
These efforts resulted in the localization of nine investment projects spanning food industries, plastics, marble, industrial detergents, and security systems. Collectively, they cover 60,000 square meters across multiple industrial cities, reinforcing Oman’s competitiveness and investor appeal.
Participation in Gulfood 2025 alone helped Omani companies secure 115 contracts worth more than half a million rials, underscoring the impact of such platforms in driving exports.
Al Salhi added that Madayn also completed 15 marketing and investment initiatives, including preparing a comprehensive OPEX events plan, conducting a feasibility study for an R&D center at Knowledge Oasis Muscat, and carrying out a competitive analysis for medical industries. The projects aim to foster industrial innovation, attract foreign capital, and streamline the investor journey by simplifying procedures.
He emphasized that Madayn’s strategy is aligned with Oman Vision 2040, aiming to build sustainable industrial cities, expand export opportunities, and deliver tangible value to the national economy.
