Oman to brief on India economic pact after CEPA signing

MUSCAT — Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion will hold a media briefing on Tuesday, December 23, to outline the scope and key provisions of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India, the ministry said in a notice.

The briefing will be attended by His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, along with representatives from relevant government entities. The briefing will also address questions related to the agreement, which is aimed at strengthening trade, investment and broader economic cooperation between the two countries.

The announcement follows the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Oman, as the two countries move to deepen economic ties across trade, industry and investment.
