MUSCAT – The campaign across construction and industrial sites aims to promote occupational safety and health and protect workers from heat stress during the summer months. It is being implemented by the Ministry’s Occupational Safety and Health Department in cooperation with the Directorate General of Labour in North Al Batinah Governorate.

As part of the initiative, awareness visits are being conducted at major construction projects and industrial facilities in North Al Batinah to encourage safe work practices, raise awareness about the risks of heat stress and reinforce compliance with the midday work stoppage decision.

The Ministry said the campaign aims to strengthen the culture of occupational safety and health, reduce heat-related workplace risks and support efforts to create a safe and sustainable working environment.
More than 2,500 workers in North Al Batinah Governorate are expected to benefit from the awareness programme, which forms part of the ministry’s wider efforts to protect Oman’s workforce and promote workplace safety standards.
