MUSCAT: Omani content creator Fayadh Al Kindi has died after battling a prolonged illness, prompting an outpouring of tributes from across the Sultanate and on social media.
Al Kindi’s death was announced on Sunday, weeks after he shared what would become his final public message with his followers, describing his health struggles and expressing hope that he would soon recover and return to creating content.
In a post published on June 28, Al Kindi said he had chosen not to disclose his condition initially because he believed he would recover within a few days. Instead, he spent nearly three weeks in hospital, where he was transferred between multiple medical facilities after suffering internal bleeding.
“Thank God, I have now improved significantly and the bleeding has stopped, but I am still recovering,” he wrote in Arabic.
Despite the seriousness of his condition, Al Kindi remained optimistic, telling followers that he missed creating content and looked forward to returning once his recovery was complete. He ended the message by asking supporters to keep him in their prayers.
The post has since been widely shared following news of his death, with many describing it as a poignant final message that reflected his resilience and positive outlook despite his illness.
Messages of condolence poured in from fellow content creators, followers and members of the public, many remembering Al Kindi for his creativity, kindness and determination.
