Muscat – Muscat Municipality will conduct an expanded edition of Muscat Nights 2026 from January 1 to 31, offering its broadest programme of cultural and recreational activities across the governorate.
The festival will take place at eight locations: Qurum Natural Park, Naseem Garden, Oman Automobile Association grounds, Seeb Beach, Wadi al Khoudh, Quriyat, Amerat Park and Bausher Sands. Activities are being organised with government partners and private-sector support.
At Qurum Natural Park, the schedule includes a heritage village, theatre shows, a zone for expatriate communities, a lights festival and dancing fountain performances. The venue will also host carnivals, drone displays, a hackathon, fashion events and additional stage productions.
Naseem Garden will feature a heritage village with competitions involving wilayat associations, along with stage shows, a haunted house, family zones, thrill rides, an Omani sweets corner, and poetry and music evenings. A consumer exhibition, international circus, fireworks, food festival, inflatable games, and classic car and motorcycle displays are also planned.
Amerat Park will offer a heritage village, children’s area, consumer exhibition, theatre performances, carnivals, gaming contests and cultural evenings. The programme includes classic bike displays, fireworks and performances of the children’s show Masha and the Bear.
Beach activities will be centred at Sur al Hadid in Seeb, hosting beach football and volleyball, tug-of-war and a marathon. The site will also include SME kiosks, food stalls and mobile food trucks. Activities include theatre and folk performances, poetry evenings, illuminated family tents and classic motorcycle displays.
Wadi al Khoudh will present one of the festival’s largest line-ups, with fireworks, live shows, music and dance performances, adventure zones, relaxation areas, photo booths and themed inflatables. Other features include an SME souq, zipline, children’s playground, paintball and shooting range, interactive shows, a food and beverage zone, glamping tents and a climbing wall.
At Wadi Dayqah Dam in Quriyat, visitors can engage in boating and kayaking, and explore food and local product stalls. Quriyat Lake Park will host an Omani women’s corner, theatre zone, traditional cuisine stalls and handicraft kiosks. The fishing port will stage swimming and sailing races, traditional boat competitions, fishing and diving contests, and traditional games.
Oman Automobile Association will hold a shooting competition, arena fights and motorsport events.
Bausher Sands will host a marathon, endurance race and other sports events.
Malls across Muscat will present photography and art exhibitions and various entertainment activities.
