MANAMA– Iran targeted a cloud computing facility linked to Amazon in Bahrain on Wednesday, Reuters reported, citing the Financial Times.
Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said a fire broke out at a company site following the strike, adding that civil defence teams brought the blaze under control. The ministry did not identify the company involved and provided no information on casualties or the scale of damage.
The attack follows a warning from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which said it would target U.S. firms in the region, including Microsoft, Apple, IBM, Tesla and Amazon, in response to a joint U.S.-Israel strike on Iran.
Amazon has not yet commented on the incident.
