Manila: Dr. S. Jaishankar said he appreciated his meeting with Sayyid Badr on the sidelines of diplomatic engagements in Manila, where regional security and stability remained a key focus of discussion.
“Appreciated meeting with FM Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi of Oman in Manila. Exchanged perspectives on the recent developments in the Gulf region. Agreed to remain in touch,” Dr Jaishankar said.
The meeting comes amid India’s wider diplomatic outreach in Manila, where Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s commitment to ASEAN centrality, regional stability and a free and open Indo-Pacific. He also underlined the importance of safe international waterways and maritime security, particularly at a time when developments in the Gulf and surrounding waters remain closely watched.
