His Majesty Sultan Haitham discusses regional tensions with France’s Macron, Jordan’s King Abdullah

MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held separate telephone conversations with French President Emmanuel Macron and Jordan’s King Abdullah II to discuss ongoing regional tensions and efforts to restore stability, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

During the calls, the leaders exchanged views on the latest developments in the Middle East and stressed the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to contain the situation and prevent further escalation.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham reaffirmed Oman’s position supporting dialogue and peaceful solutions, underscoring the need for coordinated international efforts to safeguard regional security and stability.

President Macron and King Abdullah highlighted the urgency of de-escalation and the importance of continued engagement among global and regional stakeholders to ease tensions.

The discussions come amid heightened uncertainty in the region, with growing calls from international leaders for restraint and renewed diplomatic initiatives to avert a wider conflict.
