New Delhi: Air India group will maintain essential air links between India and key destinations in West Asia through a mix of scheduled and ad hoc operations.
A total of 10 scheduled flights will operate between India and Jeddah. Air India will run return services from Delhi and Mumbai, while Air India Express will connect Bengaluru, Kozhikode, and Mangalore with the Saudi city. Additionally, Air India Express will operate four scheduled flights to and from Muscat, including services from Delhi and Mumbai, and four more to Riyadh from Bengaluru and Kozhikode.
In response to changing conditions, the airlines will also operate 10 non-scheduled flights to and from the United Arab Emirates, subject to slot availability and regulatory approvals. These include services connecting Delhi and Mumbai with Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as well as flights from Mangalore to Sharjah.
While Muscat and Jeddah will see continued scheduled operations, several routes across the region including Salalah, Dammam, Doha, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Tel Aviv, remain temporarily suspended.
The airline clarified that all Air India flights to North America, Europe, Australia, and other global destinations will continue to operate as per schedule.
Passengers affected by suspended routes have been offered the option to rebook their travel at no additional cost or opt for a full refund. Customers are encouraged to manage their bookings via the airline’s official website or customer support channels.
Air India Express has also enabled flexible rebooking options for passengers traveling from the UAE and is facilitating changes through its AI-powered WhatsApp assistant, Tia.
The Air India group stated that it is actively exploring opportunities to introduce additional ad hoc flights across West Asia, while continuing to notify affected passengers directly regarding changes and rebooking options.
