Former Karpos Mayor Stevce Jakimovski, who just had his corruption sentence overturned by the Supreme Court, is now facing a new charge. Along with several municipal officials who worked under him, Jakimovski is charged with allowing construction to several developers in deals worth hundreds of thousands of euros.

The approval was given despite the fact that the Constitutional Court had previously nullified the spatial plan for the area and there was an order in place not to issue building permits. In one case construction was allowed over a temporary object that was supposed to be torn down.
