UNICEF delivers 2.7M vaccines to North Korea, restoring immunization services

UNICEF has delivered some 2.72 million vaccine doses to North Korea this year, restoring immunization services that were disrupted during the pandemic.

Chiara Frisone, a spokesperson for UNICEF East Asia and Pacific, told NK News that three chartered flights transported the vaccines in January, March and May and that nationwide immunization services are now fully operational once again.

UNICEF has delivered some 2.72 million vaccine doses to North Korea this year, restoring immunization services that were disrupted during the pandemic.
