The U.S. State Department is planning to fund efforts to document human rights abuses in North Korea and counter the regime’s propaganda apparatus, despite President Donald Trump’s recent attempts to revive diplomatic engagement with Pyongyang.
The State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) is seeking “organizations to document the DPRK’s human rights abuses and counter regime influence operations globally,” according to a notice issued by the bureau Monday.
