South Korea concludes remains recovery operation in DMZ without North Korea

The South Korean military has concluded an over monthlong operation to recover remains from the Korean War inside the Demilitarized Zone, locating 25 sets of remains and 1,962 artifacts even though North Korea didn’t participate.

Roughly 100 South Korean soldiers and U.N. Command troops took part in the 40-day excavation project that began on Oct. 15, Seoul’s Ministry of National Defense said in a news release on Monday.
