Kim Yo Jong says North Korea has ‘no reason’ to hold summit with Japan

The North Korean leader’s sister Kim Yo Jong slammed Japan for seeking a summit with Pyongyang on Monday, reiterating her previous rejection of diplomacy with Tokyo.

In a statement issued through the state-owned Korean Central News Agency, Kim criticized Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi for broaching the subject of a DPRK-Japan summit during her visit to the U.S. last week.
