What to expect from the first episode of Shark Tank Nepal

Kathmandu, July 2

The highly anticipated Nepali edition of the business reality show Shark Tank is set to premiere tonight at 9 pm on Himalaya TV. As excitement builds, Onlinekhabar has obtained exclusive details about what viewers can expect from the debut episode.

The first episode will feature four entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas to the panel of investors, known as “sharks.” Among the pitches, some managed to impress the sharks enough to secure investment, while others received constructive feedback instead of funding.

Shark Tank Nepal will air every Wednesday and Thursday on Himalaya TV. The show offers a platform for Nepali entrepreneurs to showcase innovative ideas and potentially attract investment to scale their ventures.

The inaugural season features five prominent business leaders as sharks: Hemraj Dhakal, Co-founder of IME Group; Cabinet Shrestha, Managing Director of Agni Group; Saurabh Jyoti, Chairperson of the Jyoti Group; Ritu Singh Vaidya, Managing Director of Vaidya’s Organization; and Anand Bagaria, Managing Director of Nimbus Group.

From over 1,500 applicants, a rigorous two-stage selection process narrowed the field down to 110 startups, all of whom will pitch their ideas to the sharks during the season.

Adding to the buzz, Shark Tank India star and boAt Co-founder Aman Gupta recently visited Nepal to promote the show.

In Shark Tank Nepal, local entrepreneurs present their startups, products, or services in front of seasoned investors, who then decide whether to invest based on the business potential. The show aims to foster a culture of entrepreneurship, bring innovative businesses into the mainstream, and inspire the next generation of Nepali entrepreneurs.
