Katmandu, October 30
Head coach of the Nepali national men’s football team, Matt Ross, has resigned from his position.
According to Kiran Rai, General Secretary of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), Ross’s resignation has been received.
Ross, who was appointed for one year last March, resigned before completing his term.
The reason behind his resignation has not been disclosed. He was appointed just before the third-round matches of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers began.
Under Ross’s leadership, Nepal played seven international matches and managed one win, two draws, and four losses.
In his debut match as head coach, Nepal defeated Singapore, but the team failed to secure another victory afterward.
