Gold price drops by Rs 7,800 per tola, falls below Rs 300,000

Kathmandu, March 20

The price of gold declined by Rs 7,800 per tola on Friday, falling below the Rs 300,000 mark.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has been fixed at Rs 294,500 per tola today.

On the previous day, gold was traded at Rs 302,300 per tola. Similarly, the price of silver also decreased by Rs 115 per tola. The Federation has set the price of silver at Rs 4,895 per tola today, down from Rs 5,010 per tola the day before.

Gold and silver prices had reached an all-time high on Magh 15, when gold was priced at Rs 339,300 per tola and silver at Rs 7,505 per tola.

Since the record high, the price of gold has dropped by approximately Rs 45,000 per tola.
