Namibian professional boxer Ruan Rispel will return to the ring on 26 September, when he faces Zimbabwe’s Tafadzwa Mushando for the ABU SADC Championship in Francistown, Botswana.
The 10-round Super Lightweight (63.5kg) title fight will be held at the Adansonia Hotel as part of The Gold Rush 2.0: ABU SADC Championship, promoted by Perfect Punch Promotions.
Rispel, one of Namibia’s promising young boxing prospects, will be looking to make a strong statement on the regional stage when he squares off against Mushando in what is expected to be a competitive championship encounter. The official weigh-in will take place on 25 September at 11h30 at the Adansonia Hotel in Francistown.
The card will also feature the comeback of Namibian champion Flame “Special One” Nangolo, who will face Zimbabwean Jeremiah Mhere on the undercard.
Nangolo’s bout will mark his return to competitive boxing after a period away from the ring, as he begins the next chapter of his career.
