LDV’s Terron 9 in spotlight at Career Expo

The latest generation of vehicles from the M&Z Motors Group proved to be a major attraction at last weekend’s Victory Youth Group (VYG) Career Expo, with the youth showing particular enthusiasm for the all-new LDV Terron 9.

Hosted by the Victory Youth Group (VYG), the Career Expo brought together a diverse range of exhibitors and hundreds of young people and learners from Windhoek and surrounding areas, offering them valuable exposure to career opportunities and the corporate world.

Among the exhibitors, M&Z Motors Group stood out as a crowd favourite, with learners eagerly exploring the group’s vehicle range and engaging with representatives about careers in the automotive industry. M&Z Motors sales executive Ashley Daniels (Guru Babe) said the response from young visitors exceeded expectations, particularly for the flagship LDV Terron 9 bakkie.

“The young people in our city were particularly excited about the Terron 9, the flagship bakkie of the LDV brand. I really did not expect that much excitement about the Terron 9, which received a lot of attention from Expo participants,” Daniels said.

Throughout the event, learners gathered around the vehicle, inspecting its bold design, modern features and commanding presence.  Their enthusiasm highlighted the growing appeal of modern automotive technology among Namibia’s younger generation and underscored the increasing recognition of the LDV brand in the local market. The expo was designed to bridge the gap between learners and the business community. VYG organiser Billy Haoseb said the initiative aimed to bring the corporate world directly to young people and help them understand the opportunities available after completing school.

“The Career Expo seeks to bridge the information gap and expose youth and learners to companies out there who are willing to meet them halfway,” said Haoseb.

Learners attending the event described the experience as eye-opening, with many noting that the expo broadened their understanding of the wide range of career paths available.

“This expo has shown me that I do not have to focus on only one business. I can diversify my interests across the board,” one learner remarked.

For M&Z Motors Group, the event provided an opportunity not only to showcase its expanding portfolio of brands but also to inspire future automotive professionals. The strong interest in vehicles such as the LDV Terron 9 demonstrated that Namibia’s youth are increasingly engaged with innovation, technology and the opportunities offered by the country’s dynamic motoring sector.

As the crowds gathered around the Terron 9 throughout the day, one thing became clear: the bakkie’s bold styling and modern appeal have already won over a new generation of motoring enthusiasts.
