The Rohingya Maiyafunor Collaborative Network hosted the Rohingya Cultural Night featuring food, music, and a film screening of “Resist Hate” in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on Sept. 3. ‘Maiyafuinor‘ means women in the Rohingya language. Many members of the Myanmar exile community and diaspora, including students and youth, attended the event.
“We established this cultural night and many other cultural nights across the region because we believe deeply that people do not understand or know enough about the Rohingya culture or who we are,” said Yasmin Ullah, the executive director of Rohingya Maiyafunor Collaborative Network.
