Of 197 consumer complaints, 149 settled over five months this year

Officials were conducting a field investigation on product safety.

Over five months in 2026 from January to May, the Myanmar Consumer Protection Commission received a total 197 consumer complaints.

Of which, the commission settled 149 cases in accordance with rules and regulations and it has continued working on the rest 48 cases to be settled through a fast and effective solution.

At present, a total of 589 officers have been assigned to take charge of the inspection process under the law in regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.

By conducting field investigations, the officers will verify to ensure products are safe for consumers and whether they are manufactured in accordance with their labels.
