Images show the Myanmar women’s football players are seen in action yesterday in the match against Team Malaysia.
The Myanmar women’s football team had their second victory at the 33rd SEA Games when they defeated the Malaysian women’s team with a score of 3-0, yesterday.
Myanmar Olympic Committee Chairman and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, and for Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, and relevant departmental officials and about 3,166 spectators watched the match.
Myanmar scored through San Thaw Thaw (26 minutes and 39 seconds), May Htet Lu (35 minutes and 29 seconds), and Win Theingi Tun (65 minutes and four seconds).
The Myanmar women’s team is in Group B with the Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam, and the team achieved victory over the Philippines with a score of 2-1 on 5 December and over Malaysia with 3-0 yesterday. Myanmar will play its third match against Vietnam on 11 December. — MNA/KTZH
