Family of an MoU worker who died in Thailand given 87000 baht

Insurance claim and condolence money was given to the family of the MoU worker.

For a Myanmar MoU worker who died while working at a construction materials trading in Thailand, Pathum Thani, insurance claim and condolence money totalling 87000 baht was given to his family, according to the Labour Attaché Office.

The Labour Attaché Office said on its Facebook page on 27 February that officials from the office visited a Myanmar migrant worker who was under hospitalization with mobility issue and provided necessary assistances. The worker passed away at the hospital about two weeks later.

The Labour Attaché Office said it transferred 87000 baht to his family as his entitlement. The rest payment of the insurance claim will be continued, it said.
