Announcement of the dates for the CQI Intro to Processing and CQI Processing Good Practices theoretical and practical courses.
To ensure the production of high-quality coffee for the international market, the Myanmar Coffee Association (MCA) will conduct coffee milling and processing training courses in PyinOoLwin during the 2025-2026 period.
The training is intended to achieve several goals: to produce high-quality coffee; to share knowledge on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production; to share both theoretical and practical knowledge on different coffee production methods and products; and to provide hands-on experience.
The training will be led by CQI Lecturers and will teach the new CQI Post-Harvest Curriculum from the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) of the United States, starting in December 2025. Upon successful completion, trainees will receive an official certificate of attendance recognized by the CQI.
The course will include: CQI Intro to Processing on 9 to 10 December; CQI Processing Good Practices on 11 to 13 December; Combo Class (Introduction + Good Practices) for five days. MCA / MCG members will receive a discount of 50,000 Kyats.
This training is recommended for Individuals or organizations planning to engage in coffee production and current producers who wish to learn more systematic techniques.
It will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the MCG Coffee Factory in PyinOoLwin. The number of trainees is limited and registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
