Paris Saint-Germain’s Achraf Hakimi has been named in L’Équipe’s Ligue 1 team of the week after scoring twice in PSG’s 3-0 win over Brest on Saturday. The Moroccan right-back found the net in the 29th and 39th minutes, helping PSG take control of the match, which was played in heavy rain. He earned the highest rating of the game at 8.3.
Le succès écrasant de Lille face à Metz (6-1) permet au club nordiste de placer deux éléments dans notre équipe type de la 9e journée de Ligue 1. Une présence similaire au PSG et à l’OL, également vainqueurs au cours du week-end.

The victory moved PSG to the top of Ligue 1 with 20 points, overtaking Marseille. Brest missed a penalty in the 59th minute before Desire Doue added a stoppage-time goal for the visitors.
Hakimi’s brace brings his total to four goals this season across all competitions, alongside five assists in 18 appearances. His performances have helped PSG keep nine clean sheets so far in the 2025-26 campaign.
L’Équipe selected Hakimi in a 3-4-3 formation for the ninth round of Ligue 1, naming him as the right-sided player. He was joined by PSG teammate Vitinha and standout players from other clubs, including Felix Correia, Matias Fernandez-Pardo, Sidiki Chérif, Moussa Niakhaté, Nicolas Tagliafico, Ayumu Seko, Tylel Tati, Samson Baidoo, and Yehvann Diouf.
PSG coach Luis Enrique praised Hakimi after the match, saying, “Hakimi? What I said yesterday still stands, he’s the best right-back in the world right now. I had Dani Alves at Barcelona, too, so the comparison is tough. But I’m very happy with Achraf’s performance.”
Since joining PSG in 2021, Hakimi has made over 420 appearances, scoring 58 goals and providing 70 assists.
