AFCON 2025 Tickets on Sale

Morocco has kicked off ticket sales for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025), set to run from December 21 to January 18 next year. Prices range from 100 to 900 MAD, depending on the match and seating category.

The opening game between Morocco and Comoros on December 21 will see tickets priced at 500 MAD for Category 1, 300 MAD for Category 2, and 150 MAD for Category 3.

Group stage matches are slightly cheaper, with top fixtures set at 400 MAD, 250 MAD, and 100 MAD across the three categories.

As the tournament progresses, prices rise. Round of 16 and third-place games are priced at 500, 300, and 150 MAD, while quarter-finals climb to 600, 400, and 200 MAD. Semi-finals and the grand final will see fans dig a bit deeper, with tickets ranging from 800 to 900 MAD for premium seats.

The final at Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium will cost 900 MAD for Category 1, 600 MAD for Category 2, and 400 MAD for Category 3.

CAF has confirmed that the first phase of ticket sales starts today, giving fans an early chance to secure their spot for Africa’s biggest football celebration.

Reaction on social media has been swift and mixed. Some fans expressed frustration over prices. One wrote: “So anyone wanting to fill the stands will have to pay around 250 MAD to watch Ivory Coast vs Tanzania?” Others called the tickets “the most expensive in AFCON history, as if we live in Sweden.”

Some suggested discounts for local supporters. “They should reduce prices by 30% or more for Moroccan fans to encourage attendance.” Others questioned the feasibility of high prices for less high-profile matches: “Who will pay this to watch Benin vs Botswana? CAF is dreaming.”

One fan warned that the success of the tournament depends on more than just ticket prices: “The tournament’s popularity relies on the atmosphere in Morocco and Morocco’s continued progress; otherwise, tickets will only sell if given away for free, as in previous cases.”
