6 Students Win Casablanca Stock Exchange’s Prestigious Awards

Mohammedia – The Casablanca Stock Exchange honored Morocco’s brightest young investors yesterday as it awarded 6 outstanding students for their achievements in the 2025 Stock Exchange Championship.

Designed for university students, the Stock Exchange Championship is an event where participants are challenged with managing a virtual portfolio worth MAD 1 million.

After 5 weeks of trading on the e-Bourse.ma platform, Reda Ait Allal Mohamed of ISIAM Business School in Agadir proved to be a worthy champion for 2025 with a brilliant performance of 46.35%.

The second position had Nour-Eddin Ait-bouguarri of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Benguerir with an outstanding performance of 31.82%, while Salmi Amrou of EMSI Rabat secured the third position with a performance of 28.65%.

The next two positions were secured by Mohammed Chifahi of HEEC Marrakech with a performance of 27.62% and Ilyass Moustaid of ENCG Settat with a performance of 24.96%.

In the female category, Nada Benfikri of the Economic and Management Faculty in Kenitra was honored for her performance of 17.22%, making her the top female performer of the year.

The winners were treated to different prizes from the Casablanca Stock Exchange. The prizes included an advanced finance training session prize from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a one-year mentorship opportunity with members of The London Morocco Network, a private, London-based networking group consisting of Moroccan finance specialists.

Fostering financial literacy and inclusion 

The number of contestants this year was 2,124. They came from 30 higher institutions in Morocco, as well as Moroccans studying in other countries.

The contestants developed and practiced different strategies independently using real market analysis and tools provided by e-Bourse.ma platform, developed in partnership with TradingView.

“This championship has a special meaning to us. It is more than a competition; it is a celebration of youth in Morocco and their intelligence and ingenuity to come up with innovative ideas. It brings vitality to our market and challenges us to continually improve,” said Mohamed Saad, Deputy CEO of the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

Ahmed Bennani, representative of the Casablanca Stock Exchange School, highlighted the educational benefit that this project has brought to its members. The immersive experience in a realistic market setting that has improved their understanding of investment and risk management, he argued.

Since its creation in 2014, the Stock Exchange Championship has established itself as a key pillar of the Casablanca Stock Exchange’s vision of fostering financial education and inclusion in Morocco.

In addition to this event, the organization has continued to develop its presence through workshops, collaborations, and online development, especially through its Casablanca Stock Exchange School and its partnership with the Moroccan Foundation for Financial Education (FMEF).

This has helped more than 85,000 people over the past 25 years, emphasizing the stock exchange’s role in securing a financially literate generation that can contribute to their country’s economic development.
