Rabat – Marrakech will host the 14th World Congress of Consuls, which will bring together 150 honorary consuls from across the world.
The event will kick off on October 29 and will continue until November 1.
The World Federation of Consuls (FICAC) will organize the event in cooperation with the Union of Honorary Consuls in Morocco (UCHM).
A statement from the organizers describes the event as “an important milestone” for Morocco, showcasing the country’s central role in parallel diplomacy.
The program of the symposium will feature speeches by the President of FICAC, Nikolaos K. Margaropoulos, and the President of UCHM, Atman Haloui.
On October 30, two panels will take place with the participation of several ambassadors. One of the panels will explore avenues for bringing people closer through consular diplomacy, while the other will address challenges of a globalized consular diplomacy.
The conference will also cover the election of the new board of directors as part of the FICAC General Assembly.
