Saipan — A Palauan national, undergoing Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) training in Saipan, is in custody on $25,000 cash bail after allegedly assaulting a man in Garapan on Nov. 16.
Police identified the suspect as Jeremy Meseche Guillermin, 29, who was taken into custody after officers found a man injured and unresponsive. Authorities said Guillermin allegedly told police, “Sorry sir, he was asking for it,” and reported that he was in Saipan for ARFF training.
Investigators said Guillermin fled from a police vehicle shortly after his initial arrest, triggering a search by responding units. He was later located at the apartment complex where ARFF trainees were housed.
Guillermin has been charged with aggravated assault and battery, disturbing the peace, and obstructing justice and held on US$25,000 cash bail.
Palau’s Division of Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting is under the Bureau of Aviation of the Ministry of Public Infrastructure and Industries.
