Facilitated by Palau SBDC Center Director Eustoria Borja, the session also walked participants through structured prompt-writing techniques designed to help users generate clearer and more accurate results from AI tools. The training emphasized key principles such as verifying AI-generated information, protecting customer data, and ensuring cultural relevance and sensitivity when using AI for professional work.
Borja completed the AI for SBDC Advisors Certification during a full-day training held in Orlando, Florida in September 02, 2025. The certification recently issued on October 9, 2025, and valid through October 9, 2028, equips SBDC consultants with advanced competencies in assessing client AI readiness, developing AI adoption strategies, crafting high-performance prompts, integrating AI tools into consulting activities, and training other advisors and business owners. This “train-the-trainer” credential positions Palau SBDC to expand AI capacity-building efforts across the country.
This initiative aligns with Palau SBDC’s mission to provide accessible training, technical assistance, and modern digital tools to support small business growth through the Pacific Islands SBDC Network, with support from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
