The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, presided over the inauguration of the extension project for the National Institute of Public Health on Friday in the commune of El Aria in the wilaya of Trarza.

This important health facility comprises 162 rooms, 40 biosafety level 1 (BSL-I) (P1) laboratories, 4 biosafety level 2 (BSL-II) (P2) laboratories and biosafety level 3 (BSL-III) (P3) laboratories.

It also includes 40 offices that can accommodate up to 100 employees, 5 study and training rooms that can each accommodate 70 people, 4 multipurpose rooms for small group meetings and 2 rooms that can each accommodate 20 people for emergency meetings related to public health.
