His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, held a meeting today, Friday, at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, with members of the management of Mauritania’s winning candidate for the African Development Bank Group, Sidi Ould Tah.

The members of the Supreme Steering Committee included The Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Djay, in addition to members of the campaign coordination.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the President of the Republic expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts made by the campaign team, commending their effective role in achieving this remarkable diplomatic and economic accomplishment, which reflects Mauritania’s advanced position on the continental and international scene.

The election of Mr. Sidi Ould Tah to this high position is a culmination of Mauritanian diplomacy under the leadership of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and embodies Mauritania’s strong and influential return to African forums, particularly through the African Development Bank Group, one of the most important financial and development institutions on the continent.
