Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture visits the city of Ouadane to review the ongoing Preparations for Organizing the Heritage Cities Festival.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture, Arts, Communication, and Relations with Parliament, Mr. Sidi Mohamed Jeddou Khatri, today, Sunday, accompanied by a delegation from the sector, conducted a field visit to the historic city of Ouadane to review the level of preparations underway for the organization of the Heritage Cities Festival, scheduled to take place from December 19 to 23.

The tour included various sites designated to host the festival’s events, including the official stage, the cultural village, logistical facilities, and the locations for shows and cultural activities, where the Secretary-General reviewed the progress of the work and listened to technical explanations regarding the adopted organizational and logistical arrangements.

In this context, the Secretary-General emphasized the necessity of intensifying efforts and ensuring close coordination among the various sectors involved, in order to make this prominent cultural event a success, in a manner befitting the status of the city of Ouadane among the historically listed cities recognized as World Heritage, and reflecting the care that His Excellency the President of the Republic gives to the preservation and enhancement of national heritage.

The Madain Heritage Festival is considered one of the most prominent national cultural events, as it contributes to the revival of both tangible and intangible heritage, promotes cultural tourism, and supports local development in historic cities.
