His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, this evening, Friday, presided over the launch of the first cultural and artistic evening, organized as part of the events of the 14th edition of the Cities of Heritage Festival in the city of Ouadane.
The evening featured traditional artistic and musical performances, including presentations by the participating groups, playing of the tidinit instrument, poetry readings, and artistic performances of praise for the Prophet, alongside the presentation of the festival anthem, which embodied its message, the values of citizenship, and the principles of the Republican school.
The ceremony was also distinguished by a comprehensive artistic performance reflecting diversity and national unity, a film about the project for preparing an encyclopedia of traditional crafts, and a film about the Arkin Basin National Reserve.
The evening concluded with the honoring of the winners of the President’s Prize for Fine Arts, where the winners received significant awards from His Excellency the President of the Republic. They were, in order: Aisha Deko, in the field of theater for creative women; Mohamed Ould Al-Talbah, in the field of cinema; Mohamed Ali Ould Bilal, in the field of visual arts; and the artists Hawa Seck and Oujda Bint Al-Razi, in the field of music.
The winners collectively took a photo with His Excellency the President of the Republic on the evening platform, along with the Minister of Culture, Arts, Communication, and Parliamentary Relations, the Government Spokesperson, and His Excellency the President o of the Republic Prize for Fine Arts.
The evening events took place in the presence of the Minister, Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Minister in charge of the Office of the President, the Minister Adviser at the Presidency, the Governor of the Adrar Region, the Head of the Region, a number of government members, and some members of the diplomatic corps.
