On December 2025, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, left the city of Ouadane this morning, Saturday, heading to Nouakchott, after presiding over the opening of the 14th edition of the Heritage Cities Festival.

At the farewell of His Excellency the President of the Republic, on the airplane stairs, were the Governor of Adrar, Mr. Abdoullah Ould Mohamed Mahmoud; the Commander of the Third Military Region, Colonel Mohamed Lemine Ould Lemine; the President of the Adrar Region, Mr. Mohamed Ould Achref Ould Abdoullah; the Governor of the Ouadane District, Mr. Cheikh Ould Bilal; the Mayor of its municipality, Mr. Mohamed Lemine Ould Ababa; the Deputy of the District, Mr. Abdou Ould Louleid Ould Weddad; the Commander of the Northern Sector of the National Gendarmerie, Colonel Bukhari Mumah; the Commander of the Regional Group of the National Guard No. (6), Major Veiss; the Commander of the National Gendarmerie Battalion in Atar, Major Sidi Mohamed Mayekhbe; the Regional Director of Security, Chief Commissioner Abou Harouna Diob; the Regional Director of Northern Customs, Colonel Mohamed Al-Mustafa Ahmed; and the Commander of the Specialized Unit for Civil Security and Crisis Management, Major Abdi Ghailany.
