President of the Chamber of Commerce participates in the General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development and the Makkah Halal Forum

The President of the Mauritanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Mr. Cheikh El Avia Ould Mohamed Khouna, participated in the 41st General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development and the third session of the Makkah Halal Forum in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, from February 14 to 16, 2026.

The General Assembly approved the appointment of Mr. Abdullah Saleh Kamel, President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Makkah Chamber, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development for an additional term. The members of the board of directors of this Islamic body were also elected for the new session, including the president of the Mauritanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, who was re-elected on this occasion.

The forum also provided an opportunity for the President of the Mauritanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture to brief the participants on our country’s enormous potential in various fields, such as minerals, energy, fishing, agriculture, livestock, services, and others.
