On 10 July, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, presided over a high-level economic roundtable organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in the capital Washington with the participation of several presidents and directors of major American companies operating in the fields of energy, mines, agriculture, and digital technology, and in the presence of the official delegation of our country, as well as a delegation of national businessmen.

The event provided a strategic platform for deepening dialogue between our country and the United States and exploring new partnership prospects in vital sectors such as energy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and extractive industries.

During the meeting, the Mauritanian side presented the main investment opportunities in the country and the economic and structural reforms implemented to improve the business climate, enhance transparency, and consolidate the principles of good governance.

Participants from the U.S. side praised Mauritania’s efforts to improve its investment environment, expressing their interest in expanding their presence and activities in the country.
