The Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Moulay Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, represented today, Monday, in the Senegalese capital Dakar, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazwani, at the opening ceremony of the African conference on food systems.

This continental conference aims to enhance African cooperation in the field of food security and to develop sustainable agricultural and food systems, contributing to achieving self-sufficiency and enhancing the food sovereignty of the continent.

This participation comes as part of Mauritania’s commitment, under the leadership of His Excellency the President of the Republic, to actively contribute to African efforts aimed at addressing food security challenges and enhancing continental integration in this vital area.The Minister is accompanied on this mission by a high-level delegation that includes His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ali Ould Sidi Mohamed, Mauritania’s Ambassador to Senegal, and Mr. El-Tah Ahmed Mawlood, Advisor to the Presidency.
