The session was dedicated to presenting the country’s investment opportunities and climate, in the presence of a number of accredited economic and commercial attachés.
The Director General of the Mauritanian Diplomatic Academy, Mr. Talib Akhiar Abdi Salem Ababi, explained that the meeting reflects Mauritania’s keenness to open up and strengthen cooperation with international partners, pointing out the country’s natural resources, strategic location and political will to support investment.
The Assistant Director of the Investment Promotion Agency, Mohamed Habiballah Mohamed Ahmed, explained that meetings of this kind provide direct opportunities to develop economic diplomacy, noting the agency’s role in promoting investment, accompanying investors and improving the business climate.
The session included presentations and interventions by representatives of diplomatic missions, which reviewed the new investment law and the benefits granted to investors, as well as Mauritania’s economic potential.
The workshop was inaugurated in the presence of the national diplomatic corps and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Mauritania.
